Rising U.S. Dollar ProFund
Investment Objective
The Rising U.S. Dollar ProFund (the "Fund") seeks daily investment results, before fees and expenses, that correspond to the inverse (-1x) of the daily performance of the basket of non-U.S. currencies included in the U.S. Dollar Index® (the "Index"). The Index measures the performance of the U.S. Dollar against the performance of a basket of six major world currencies (the “Benchmark”). The Fund is designed to benefit from an increase in the value of the U.S. Dollar against the value of the currencies included in the Benchmark. Accordingly, as the value of the U.S. dollar appreciates versus the Benchmark, the performance of the Fund generally should be expected to increase. As the value of the U.S. dollar depreciates versus the Benchmark, the performance of the Fund generally should be expected to decline. The Fund seeks to provide investment returns that correspond to the inverse of the daily performance of the Benchmark; it does not normally provide investment returns that match the Index, nor does it seek to achieve its stated investment objective over a period greater than one day.
